* For out-of-centre in-person sessions:

  • Locations are limited to postcodes B1–B19 and B29.
  • A distance-based travel fee of £5 to £10 applies per session.
  • Travel fees are non-refundable for late cancellation.

** In-person group sessions are Centre-Based Only.

Payment methods

To ensure smooth operation and dedicated tutor scheduling, Fun Learning & Exploring operates on a strict pre-payment system. All tuition fees must be settled in full prior to the start of lessons or the billing cycle.

Billing Cycles & Plans

Individual (1:1) LessonsBilled monthly in advance. Invoices are sent on the 25th of each month for the upcoming month’s scheduled sessions.
Small Group CoursesBilled termly or via a monthly subscription. Fees are fixed and non-refundable regardless of individual student attendance.

Accepted Payment Methods

All payments are processed digitally through secure, integrated platforms:

  • Digital Payments: Visa, Mastercard, Direct Debit via Stripe or GoCardless

  • Bank Transfer: Direct online bank transfer

  • Cash Payments: We do not accept cash for onsite center sessions or home visits.

Late Payments & Unpaid Invoices

  • Administrative Charge: Invoices unpaid by the specified due date will incur an automatic £15 late administrative fee.

  • Pause on Lessons: Sessions will be automatically paused and held until the outstanding account balance is cleared in full.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Individual (1:1) Sessions

  • 24-Hour Rule: Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

  • Late Cancellations: If a parent cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice, the session is fully billable, and no makeup session or refund will be issued. The assigned tutor is still compensated for their blocked time.

  • Emergency Clause: One “emergency exemption” per term may be granted at the company’s sole discretion for verified medical emergencies.

Small Group Classes 

  • Fixed Schedules: Group sessions run on strict academic term dates. Because a group seat is permanently reserved for your child, no refunds, credits, or fee deductions are given for student absences.

  • Missed Lesson Protocol: If a student misses a group session, they will be provided with:

    • Recorded whiteboard digital notes

    • Lesson resources

    • A copy of the homework sheet to ensure they don’t fall behind
